Gullfoss
Gullfoss in Hvítá is one of Iceland’s best known waterfalls, for its majestic power and beauty. The waterfall leaves no one untouched and attracts a high number of tourists every year. Gulfoss, as well as Hvítárgljúfur in Brattholt, was protected in 1979. The protected area covers 154.9 ha.
